SCHOOL LEAVER EMPLOYMENT SUPPORTS (SLES)

Tailored assistance towards your employment goals

If you are in the later stages of school or have recently left, you may be eligible for assistance to help “Find and Keep a Job” through your NDIS plan.

Transition to post school options can be a bit daunting but should be a positive and exciting time. We can assist to identify employment goals, whether that be work experience, volunteer work or paid employment, then help with activities to build capacity and confidence to reach your potential.

Everyone has the right to pursue a life of choice and we provide a range of supports to assist to meet your employment goals.

We believe it is vital for young people to actively participate in planning for their transition post-school. This empowers them to have a voice, advocate for themselves, participate in decision-making and take an active role in planning for their future. It is important that young people are able to identify their abilities and acknowledge their challenges. This can help the student to not be defined by their disability but be encouraged to embrace their strengths.
